Jeffrey Smith
Primary Therapist

Jeffrey was raised on a small working farm in coastal New Jersey, where early involvement in 4-H and agriculture instilled a lifelong respect for nature, discipline, and service. An autoimmune diagnosis in his late teens redirected his life and ignited a deep inquiry into healing — why it happens, why it doesn’t, and why it looks different for everyone.
His personal recovery from addiction, alongside a lifetime of navigating chronic illness, fostered the realization that addiction for the individual does not exist in isolation, but is profoundly intertwined with the mental, emotional, and physical health of the family system and the well-being of entire communities. This revelation ignited his passion for exploring the intersection of terminal diagnosis, chronic disease, and substance use as a unified human struggle rather than separate conditions. Jeffrey offers not theory alone, but the hard-won transformation that comes through tribulation, surrender, and faith in the Lord’s purpose for our life.
A graduate of Grand Canyon University and member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society (4.0 GPA), he blends academic rigor with over 30 years of study in meditation, somatic disciplines, cross-cultural healing systems, and behavioral science.
In his personal life, he finds restoration in the Great OutDoors (G.O.D.) — archery hunting and fly fishing in the Southwest backcountry, board sports and activities immersed in the wonder of God’s creation — practices that mirror the focus, discipline, and reverence he brings to his clinical work.
