We accept insurance plans
Google Reviews

Mines & Associates is not a traditional health insurance plan. Instead, it offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a benefit separate from your regular insurance, typically funded by your employer. This means you usually don’t pay out of pocket for services such as initial counseling sessions, wellness coaching, or care coordination.

The EAP is designed to remove barriers to care, allowing employees and their families to access support quickly, without worrying about deductibles or co-pays for the first few sessions [1].

AnchorPoint is proud to partner with Mines & Associates, providing specialized rehab and behavioral health services to members within the network. This partnership allows patients referred through Mines & Associates to access high-quality, coordinated care in a supportive and confidential environment, helping them take the first steps toward recovery and wellness.

What Is Mines & Associates?

Mines & Associates is a nationally recognized behavioral health and employee support organization that partners with employers, health plans, and benefit programs to deliver comprehensive mental health and wellness services [2].

Since 1981, Mines has specialized in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), managed behavioral healthcare, and a nationwide PPO network that connects individuals with licensed mental health providers, counselors, and therapeutic resources across the United States.

How Does Mines & Associates Work?

Mines & Associates partners with organizations to support the emotional well-being, productivity, and resilience of their workforce. Through a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP), members receive confidential access to counseling, wellness resources, and care coordination services.

Support is available anytime, with flexible options including in-person, virtual, and phone-based care, ensuring help is accessible when and how it’s needed.

Is Mines & Associates A Health Insurance Company?

Mines & Associates is not a health insurance company in the way you might think (like Blue Cross Blue Shield or Cigna). It’s a behavioral health and business psychology firm that focuses on supporting mental health, employee well-being, and organizational performance for employers and their workforces.

Their services are generally part of employers’ support for employee well-being, rather than a standalone health insurance plan that covers medical treatments [3].

Services Offered by Mines & Associates

Counselor Networks: A nationwide network of licensed mental health professionals that provides employees and families with timely access to confidential counseling and support services.

Managed Care Coordination: Personalized coordination of behavioral health care, helping individuals find appropriate providers, navigate benefits, and ensure continuity of care.

Wellness Coaching: One-on-one coaching focused on improving overall well-being, including stress management, work-life balance, resilience, and healthy lifestyle habits.

Virtual Counseling: Secure, confidential counseling sessions delivered online or by phone, offering convenient access to mental health support from licensed professionals.

Benefits of Mines & Associates

Mines & Associates goes beyond traditional Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) to provide a full spectrum of behavioral health support, helping employees and their families access the right care when they need it.

With over 40 years of experience, Mines has been a leader in helping employers build healthier, more resilient workforces by offering accessible, confidential, and coordinated mental health care.

Nationwide PPO Network

Members have access to over 23,000 credentialed providers, including specialized networks for first responders, LGBTQ+ individuals, and more. This ensures that everyone can find culturally competent and specialized care close to home.

Managed Behavioral Health

From utilization management and claims repricing to complex case coordination, Mines & Associates helps streamline care so members get the right support. Services can be delivered in carve-out or integrated models depending on organizational needs.

In a carve-out model, mental health and substance use services are provided by separate programs or departments, often through different providers or referral networks. An integrated model combines mental health and substance use services within a single, coordinated program where treatment teams collaborate in real time.

Clinic Support

Employers can benefit from behavioral health staffing and program design for on-site or employer-sponsored clinics, making mental health resources easily accessible in the workplace.

Organizational Consulting

Mines & Associates offers strategic consulting and workforce support, including fit-for-duty evaluations, conflict resolution, leadership coaching, and initiatives to build resilient and productive workplaces.
