Reviews from men at AnchorPoint
- Brett H.May 2026
“Anchor Point Recovery helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. The staff treated me like a real person, not just another client, and that made a huge difference. Everyone was supportive, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about my progress. The environment felt safe and positive, and I always felt like people wanted to see me do better. I’m really grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing help.”
- Jacoury H.September 2026
“First, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for all staff involved in my recovery here at Anchor Point! I didn’t feel like a client but more like extended family that ofcoarse had my best interest at heart! Allowing my faith to freely be apart of my process was a vital part and again I’m grateful!”

Referral partner FAQ
- Usually the same day. Admissions is open 24 hours and comes back to you with an answer on whether your client is a fit, and on his benefits. Send the referral form or call, and say up front if he’s in detox or a hospital so his pickup can be planned around his clearance.
- Yes. Men on medication-assisted treatment are a fit. Suboxone continues and is managed here, and methadone is coordinated with his existing provider, including a tapering plan when it’s appropriate. Send his current doses with the referral.
- Detox comes first, at a detox program, and AnchorPoint picks him up after. Men come to us once a detox, hospital or VA program has medically cleared them, and admissions can line up the next step while he’s still in detox so he moves straight from one to the other.
- Yes, with your client’s written consent. Consent comes first, every time, including for court-ordered treatment in Arizona. With it, you get updates while he’s here, a discharge summary when he leaves and his planned next step, shared back with you.
- Yes. Men come to AnchorPoint from all 50 states. They fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor, and admissions handles the pickup and the drive north to the house. His next step after residential treatment is set up where he lives before day 30.
- Yes, for free, including out-of-network coverage, before anyone commits. Send his plan and member ID with the referral and admissions calls the insurer, the same way it does for employers and HR. AnchorPoint works with private insurance, TRICARE and TriWest; for Medicare or Medicaid (AHCCCS), admissions can help find a program that takes them.
- Adult men, 18 and up, who need residential treatment for alcohol, opioids, stimulants or other drugs. Men with depression, anxiety or PTSD alongside the addiction are a fit, as are men on MAT and men who are medically cleared from detox. 12-step participation (AA, NA or CA) is part of the program for every man.
- Men who need medical detox, men in acute psychiatric crisis and men who need a locked setting should start at a program built for that. AnchorPoint is an open residential house, and detox happens before he arrives. Once he’s medically cleared, admissions can take the referral and plan his pickup.
- Yes. Depression, anxiety and PTSD alongside addiction are treated together, in one plan. Psychiatric care is part of the program: our medical director, a psychiatric nurse practitioner and 24/7 nursing, with trauma therapy including EMDR.
- About 30 days, sometimes 45, decided with his team as the work goes. Before day 30 his next step is planned, whether that is continued care, sober living or going home with outpatient support, and with his consent it is shared back with you.
- His name and contact details with his consent, his insurance plan and member ID, where he is now and when he is expected to be medically cleared, and his current medications, including MAT doses. Anything you can share about substances, mental health and past treatment helps admissions answer on fit.
- Referrals go through a dedicated pathway at admissions, with people who work with clinicians and care teams every day. When a case needs clinical nuance, it goes to clinical leadership for review.
- Admissions can usually complete the review of fit and benefits the same day, and then sets an arrival date with you based on his clinical needs, his travel and his insurance authorization. If he is in detox or a hospital, say so up front so his pickup is planned around his clearance.
