Ways to pay for rehab

Most men here pay for rehab with private insurance, often a PPO, an employer plan or a union plan. Some use out-of-network benefits, and some pay for it themselves. Find your lane. Whichever it is, the benefits check comes first, and it’s free.

FMLA and your job

Insurance has its own language. Here are the five words you’ll hear most, in plain English, with the question worth asking your plan about each one. Or skip the homework and let us ask for you.

Deductible
What you pay before your plan starts paying.
“How much of it have I met this year?”
Out-of-pocket max
The most you pay in a plan year.
“How close am I to it?”
In-network
The program has a contract with your plan.
“Is this program in my network?”
Out-of-network
Outside a contract, and your plan may still help pay.
“Do I have out-of-network benefits?”
Prior authorization
Your plan’s OK before treatment starts.
“Who asks for it, and how long does it take?”

Often, yes. Many private plans, including PPO, employer and union plans, help pay for residential treatment. What yours pays depends on your own benefits: your deductible, your out-of-pocket max and whether the program is in or out of network. Verify insurance for free and admissions calls you back with plain answers before you decide anything.

Yes. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, it may still help pay for residential treatment at AnchorPoint, and many PPO plans do. We check your out-of-network benefits along with your in-network ones and explain them in plain words, for free. Send your card with the form to find out what yours covers.

AnchorPoint is in network with UnitedHealthcare. We also work with Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, TRICARE and TriWest, and most PPO plans help pay out-of-network. What any plan pays depends on your own benefits, so admissions checks yours for free before you decide anything.

AnchorPoint works with private insurance, including PPO, employer and union plans, plus TRICARE and TriWest. For Medicare or Medicaid (AHCCCS), Admissions can help you find a program that takes them. If you also have private insurance, or plan to pay yourself, call and talk it through.

It depends on your plan. We check your benefits first, then admissions tells you plainly what your plan pays and what’s left for you, before you decide anything. If you’re paying yourself, that’s talked through on the same call. To start, check your benefits with the free form.

Nothing. The benefits check is free and confidential, and every decision after it is yours. Admissions calls your insurer, goes through the lines that matter for residential treatment, and calls you back with what they found.

It depends on your plan. Union benefits get checked like any other, for free, before you decide. Admissions works with your EAP if you have one, and your rep or employer hears about your care only with your written OK.

Your insurance card, or the member ID and the policyholder’s date of birth. Use the online form, or read the card to admissions on the phone. If you’re checking for someone else, use his details. Send them with the form to check your benefits.

Yes. Self-pay is one of the three ways men pay for residential treatment here. Admissions talks it through with you on the phone, before you decide anything, so you know what you’d owe up front.

In-network means the program has a contract with your plan. Out-of-network means the program works outside that contract, and your plan may still help pay. Which one applies depends on your plan, so we check both for you. Ask your plan whether you have out-of-network benefits, or let admissions ask for you, free.
