Reviews from men at AnchorPoint
- Brett H.May 2026
“Anchor Point Recovery helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. The staff treated me like a real person, not just another client, and that made a huge difference. Everyone was supportive, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about my progress. The environment felt safe and positive, and I always felt like people wanted to see me do better. I’m really grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing help.”
- Jacoury H.September 2026
“First, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for all staff involved in my recovery here at Anchor Point! I didn’t feel like a client but more like extended family that ofcoarse had my best interest at heart! Allowing my faith to freely be apart of my process was a vital part and again I’m grateful!”
- John B.June 2026
“Anchor Point is a faith based recovery program that does an amazing job helping addicts and those with mental health concerns over come their issues. If you want to strengthen your relationship with God and get help, I recommend Anchor Point. It is great program. The facility is clean and comfortable. The staff are caring and helpful. The therapists are top notch.”

Out of state rehab FAQ
- Distance from the old places, the old people and the old routine can make it easier to focus on the work. A month in another state takes you out of that routine long enough to see it clearly. You wake up in Arizona with men doing the same work.
- Yes. AnchorPoint accepts men from all 50 states. Admissions plans the trip with you, checks your benefits for free, and your team sets up your next step back home before day 30. It starts with one call to admissions, open 24 hours.
- Yes. Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor, share your flight with admissions, and AnchorPoint staff meet you there. From the airport it’s under two hours’ drive north to the house, up into the pines. Coming out of detox first? We pick you up from there too.
- Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX). AnchorPoint is under two hours north, in the pines of Arizona, and staff drive you there. Book the flight once admissions has helped you set a date, then share your flight details so staff are there when you land.
- Admissions plans it with you on the first call, from the flight to the pickup. You share your flight details, and staff are there when you land at Phoenix Sky Harbor.
- Many out-of-state plans cover out-of-network care, including most PPO plans. Admissions checks yours for free before anyone commits, then tells you plainly what it covers. If you’re on Medicare or Medicaid, admissions can help you find a program that accepts it.
- Yes. Family visits on Sundays, and you keep your phone to call home any day. Family can always call admissions too, and with your OK they get a call when you arrive.
- About 30 days, sometimes 45. You and your treatment team decide as the work goes, and the trip home is planned before day 30 along with the rest of your next step. Admissions talks through the time away with you before you commit.
- Pack for a mile high: layers, a warm jacket, hiking shoes and gym clothes. Summers are milder than in Phoenix, and winter can bring snow. There’s laundry in the house, so a week of clothes is enough. Bring your phone and charger.
- Before day 30, your team sets up the next step where you live: outpatient care near home, meetings in your town and the trip home itself. You leave with support lined up.
- For many men, yes. Distance from the people, places and routine tied to drinking or using makes it easier to focus on the work, and a new setting helps you see old patterns clearly. Being far from family is the trade-off, and daily phone calls and Sunday visits help close it.
- Admissions is open 24 hours, usually checks your benefits the same day and then sets an arrival date with you. Flights, detox and insurance authorization set the pace, and admissions plans each of them with you.
- If you are still drinking or using, or in withdrawal, detox comes first, at a program that provides it, because withdrawal from alcohol or benzodiazepines can be dangerous. Admissions can help you find a detox, hospital or VA program and arrange your pickup once you are medically cleared.
