How does rehab work for union members?
Rehab for union workers works through your union health plan, checked free, and your EAP or rep, with nothing shared without your written OK.
Your rep, your EAP and your employer hear only what you agree to, in writing.
Addiction treatment for tradesmen
You're used to showing up at six and doing the hard part. Here you live with men who get that. You're one of the men from day one, and the days keep you moving.
Rehab for tradesmen at our drug rehab center for men is residential, about 30 days, sometimes 45, in a small house in Arizona, and FMLA can protect your job while you’re away.

The shape of the week, from a day at AnchorPoint.
- Real physical work. The gym every day, the outdoors too. Work hard, sleep again.
- Honest about the pain. Years on the job add up. Pain and pills get talked about straight, and MAT for opioids continues with your provider.
- Your own therapist. One-on-one time for what's under the drinking or using, plus 12-step meetings with the house.
Returning to work after rehab
You leave with a plan. Your return-to-work plan gets built before day 30, and your rep and your employer are part of it when you say so.
Reviews from men at AnchorPoint
- Brett H.May 2026
“Anchor Point Recovery helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. The staff treated me like a real person, not just another client, and that made a huge difference. Everyone was supportive, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about my progress. The environment felt safe and positive, and I always felt like people wanted to see me do better. I’m really grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing help.”
- Jacoury H.September 2026
“First, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for all staff involved in my recovery here at Anchor Point! I didn’t feel like a client but more like extended family that ofcoarse had my best interest at heart! Allowing my faith to freely be apart of my process was a vital part and again I’m grateful!”
- John B.June 2026
“Anchor Point is a faith based recovery program that does an amazing job helping addicts and those with mental health concerns over come their issues. If you want to strengthen your relationship with God and get help, I recommend Anchor Point. It is great program. The facility is clean and comfortable. The staff are caring and helpful. Union worker rehab FAQ
- It’s residential treatment that works through the way union members and tradesmen get help: your union benefits, your rep or your EAP. At AnchorPoint you spend about 30 days, sometimes 45, in a small house in Arizona with men who work with their hands, and you leave with a return-to-work plan. Admissions works with your benefits and your EAP from the first call.
- Your union benefits get checked like any other plan, for free, before you decide. Admissions tells you in plain words whether you’re in-network or out-of-network and what that means for you, and you decide from there.
- That’s your call. Your rep can be part of the plan with your written OK, and hears only what you agree to. If you want your rep involved, admissions works with them from the first call and through your return to work.
- Yes. Admissions works with your EAP, and your EAP hears about the referral and updates only with your written OK. Your union, your rep or your EAP may have handed you this number; it all comes to one call to admissions, open 24 hours.
- Yes. Your care stays private. Your rep, your EAP, your employer and your family each hear only what you agree to, in writing. You decide who is in the loop and how much they hear.
- We plan for going back. Your return-to-work plan is built before day 30, with your rep and your employer if you give your OK. If you’re eligible, FMLA gives up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave; see how FMLA can protect your job. It’s general information, so check your own case with HR or your rep.
- Yes. Suboxone continues and is managed here, and methadone is coordinated with your provider. Pain from years on the job, and the pills that came with it, get talked about honestly with your team.
- Yes. The gym is in the house and open to you every day, and the outdoors is part of every week: hiking, ground work with horses and outings off site. It’s an active month, built for men who are used to working hard.
- Yes. You’ll be in the house with men who work with their hands, alongside men from every walk of life. You’re one of the men from day one, and you share the same groups, the same table and the same work.
- About 30 days, sometimes 45. You and your treatment team decide as the work goes, and admissions talks through the time off with you before you commit. Your return-to-work plan is ready before day 30.
- Men from construction and the skilled trades, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, utilities and infrastructure, and longshoremen, among others. If your job is physical, safety-sensitive or runs on long shifts, the team understands the pressure that comes with it. You share the house with men who work with their hands.
- Yes. Men come to AnchorPoint from all 50 states. You fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor, staff pick you up, and admissions checks your union plan for free, including out-of-network coverage. Your next step back home is set up before day 30.
- If you are still drinking or using, or in withdrawal, detox comes first, at a program that provides it. Admissions works with detox referral partners, handles the paperwork and the insurance check, and picks you up once you are medically cleared.
