What is aftercare after residential treatment?
Aftercare after residential treatment is the support that continues once your stay ends; at AnchorPoint, every man leaves with a written aftercare plan, built with his team before the end of 30 day rehab.
In Arizona, PHP, IOP and sober living are provided by Holdfast Recovery.

Reviews from men at AnchorPoint
- Brett H.May 2026
“Anchor Point Recovery helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. The staff treated me like a real person, not just another client, and that made a huge difference. Everyone was supportive, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about my progress. The environment felt safe and positive, and I always felt like people wanted to see me do better. I’m really grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing help.”

Aftercare FAQ
- Yes. The alumni network meets weekly online, and alumni stay connected through an alumni app, reunions and milestone celebrations. Each man gets a personal planner at discharge, and alumni who are ready can mentor newer men as alumni ambassadors.
- Reach out early; you don’t have to handle it alone. Warning signs include romanticizing past use, reconnecting with friends you used with, long stretches of isolation and losing interest in meetings. Call admissions, open 24 hours, or lean on your alumni network. In a crisis, call or text 988; in an emergency, call 911.
- Yes. Case management helps with employment and housing as part of your plan for after, so the practical side of life is in place when you leave. For men going home to another state, the plan lines up outpatient care and meetings near home too.
- You leave with a written next step you built with your team before day 30. That can be continued care in Arizona, sober living, or going home with outpatient support and meetings near you. Planning starts well before your last day, and your family can be part of it if you want them there.
- Well before day 30. Planning begins early in your stay, so there’s time to line up the right next step. You, your therapist and your team build it together, and it’s written down before you leave: where you go, and who is with you.
- It’s your choice. Sober living is one option among several. You and your team choose the step that fits you and your life at home: more structure in Arizona, a sober home while you rebuild, or going home with outpatient care and meetings lined up.
- Yes, with support in place. For men from other states, the plan can include outpatient care and meetings near home, and the trip home is planned too. Your team lines this up before you leave, so support is in place the week you get back.
- Yes. 12-step meetings (AA, NA or CA) are part of the program for every man here, and meetings near home are part of your plan for after. Men from other states leave with meetings in their own town lined up, alongside outpatient care.
- Your family can be part of the plan, if you want them there. Family therapy is one of the therapies here, and before you leave they’ll know what to expect at home and what support looks like in the first weeks. Admissions stays one call away for them too.
- AnchorPoint and Holdfast Recovery are two programs, with two licenses, one admissions team and one clinical philosophy. AnchorPoint is residential treatment for men. Holdfast Recovery provides PHP, IOP and sober living in Arizona. If continued care there is the right next step for you, your team talks it through with you as part of your plan.
- The people who knew you on day 1 help build your next step, and admissions stays one call away after you leave. You keep your phone throughout your stay, so the men you lived with are easy to reach.
